With an eye on the economic crisis that plagues the country due to high rates of inflation, interest rates, and even the bureaucracy to formalize a business, Brazilian companies in many fields are increasingly investing in new areas. This place of ‘hope’ is the United States more specifically in Florida.

Who could not imagine that it could open a branch in the US, was the 44-year-old Mônica Schimenes, founder, and CEO of MCM Brand Group. The company has been operating for 20 years in the integrated communication market and national and international marketing management since 2016, having opened the local CNPJ in January 2017.

“I understood that having an office in the United States was a great growth opportunity for my company in Brazil. I knew the Select USA program of the American government and I saw that opening a branch abroad would be possible, “she says, about the internationalization process.

There are possibilities for small entrepreneurs to invest in the United States, it is enough that the product or service has differentials. According to Shimenes, the first step is to invest in market research and supply development, then choose which region of the US the investor should set.

“There are some big challenges, but the first and biggest of them is to understand if the product or service you have to offer can be absorbed by the American market. This time of research is slow, time and money are wasted, but without this, it is not worth initiating the investment, “she advises.

ADVICE: Entrepreneurs who want to internationalize their investments can count on the help of consulting companies, such as Oxford Groud. According to Oxford Group Managing Director Carlo Barbiere, when deciding to open a business in the US, you need to check out a solid and serious consulting firm that can steer you away from the surreal speculations and promises.

“A businessman can open a company in the US, without having to be a resident. The opening form is very fast and can be done, even by the internet. The most important step is always to have the specialized guidance in this process of opening and consolidating the business here in the USA to avoid losses, “he explains.

Barbiere points out that the Brazilians have invested in a very diversified way. “Restaurants, construction, food, services in general, medicine, finance, etc. Depending on the type of business and for the sake of logistics there are many companies of Brazilians settling in other American states, but not less than 8% settle in Florida, “he says.
