A Rhode Island native who now resides in Florida, Julia Hebert earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1983, graduating Summa cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island. She went on to complete her master’s degree in Social Work in 1985. Post graduate study was completed through Boston University in the field of psychodynamic theory.
Julia is a member of both Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. She has been awarded a special citation for Meritorious Achievement and is listed in the World Who’s Who of Women at Oxford University in England for her achievement in the field of social work. She has been in private practice and is a lecturer in the field of trauma and family dynamics. She has written numerous articles on these topics.
Julia is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and is accredited by the Council in Social Work Education. She is also accredited by the Academy of Certified Social Workers; one of the most respected credentials in social work. Julia has served as a field instructor for Florida Atlantic University students enrolled in the MSW program.
