- Aumento do Consumo;
- Investimento em ativos fixo fora de construção residencial;
- Exportação;
- Investimento privados em inventário
Consumo
USA GROWS MORE AND AMERICANS EARN MORE AND SAVE MORE.
US growth, based on its real GDP, surprised the press that was betting on a country’s difficulty in maintaining its pace of development.
In annualized terms, the last quarter reached an annualized growth of 2.6%, above the projected 2.2% by the “experts” of the market.
This growth continues the auspicious indexes of the previous quarter, which was 3.4%.
The main factors of this growth were:
- Increase in Consumption;
- Investment in fixed assets outside residential construction;
- Export;
- Private investment in inventory
Consumption
Consumption grew by 2.8%, reflecting an increase in American confidence in the economy, job security and an increase in individual income.
Public expenditure
Also worthy of note was the increase in public spending (investment) in the Defense area of 6.9%, but only 0.4% in total.
It should be noted that there was a general contraction of 5.6% in state spending (excluding the defense area) which was the largest contraction since 2013, which shows that the current government is trying to save public money on non-productive expenditures.
Savings
On the other hand, the savings rate increased from 6.4% to 6.7%, which is auspicious considering the increase in consumption.
Inflation
Despite the Fed’s concern about inflation, which would have justified an accelerated increase in US government bond yields, it fell to 1.6% in the last quarter, compared to 1.8% in the previous quarter.
Salary
Although the final figures for the fourth quarter were not available, the final estimate for the third quarter was published, in which there was an increase of U $ 108.4 billion.
Conclusion
Although we expect a rebalancing of US growth, which should occur every 7 to 9 years, there has still been no change in growth, which we believe are tax measures that are attracting large US companies back to the US, policy of trade agreements, new investments of foreign companies in the US and debureaucratization at the federal level.
Of course the dominance in the House of Representatives of the opposition, can lead to a decline in this growth that is seen today.
